The Tennis Lessons for Children will be held at Eisenhower Park and are instructed by Dave Kardas and his staff.Lessons available are for Pee Wee and Junior aged players between, 3-5, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, and 12-16 . The classes are broken up in age groups and run between the hours of 4:30pm-6:45pm on Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday nights (5:45pm start time for First Session due to High School Season).Little Tennis Discovery class (3-5) will introduce the forehand, backhand, and volley, lots of eye hand coordination exercises, and lots of fun gamesThe Red Rallyers class (4-6) will work on forehand, backhand and volley as well as learning to serve. The Milford Recreation Department - Adult Pickleball Program will promote the game of pickleball to our community, provide social and competitive activities for all playing levels.  Milford Recreation Department - Adult Pickleball Program is simple  organized play in Milford, Connecticut. To join, please sign up through the Milford Recreation Department website at: www.milfordrecreation.com Fee: $25 for Residents Non Residents $100 The Program includes daily play. (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday) (8AM-12PM) at Eisenhower Park Pickleball Courts. We will also be implementing Wednesday Nights from 6pm-10pm for the 2025 season. All eight (8) Courts will be reserved for MRPP play (unless otherwise noted by the Recreation staff). The Program Dates: April 2nd, 2025 to December 1st, 2025. The Milford Recreation Department is excited to offer this years Learn to Swim program.  Whether or not you plan to head to the pool, water is all around us - in rivers, lakes, Long Island Sound, oceans, and even bathtubs.  By equipping your child with the lifesaving skill of swimming you'll be opening doors to a lifetime of fun, fitness, and enjoyment. Our swimming classes for kids are tailored to the needs of each child, so that he or she can progress at a comfortable pace.  And although some children may advance more quickly or slowly, our instructors ensure that everyone receives the instruction they need. Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills: Students will learn how to feel comfortable in the water and safely enjoy it.Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills: Children will learn basic swimming skills.

Born out of the love and spirit of Camp Happiness, our program was founded in conjunction with the Milford Recreation Department in 2021 by certified educators and special education teachers who are passionate about creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities.We offer a wide range of inclusive clubs and community events for kids, teens, and adults with special needs—welcoming participants into a joyful, supportive environment where they can build confidence, friendships, and unforgettable memories. From cooking and STEM to pickleball, dance, and arts and crafts, our ever-growing list of clubs offers something exciting for everyone.One of the cornerstones of our program is our Drama Club - a truly one-of-a-kind experience that brings participants together to express themselves, build teamwork, and shine on stage. Our swimming classes for kids are tailored to the needs of each child, so that he or she can progress at a comfortable pace.  And although some children may advance more quickly or slowly, our instructors ensure that everyone receives the instruction they need.  The program will be run by swimming instructor Michael Porter.

The Milford Recreation Department is excited to offer this years Learn to Swim program.  Whether or not you plan to head to the pool, water is all around us - in rivers, lakes, Long Island Sound, oceans, and even bathtubs.  By equipping your child with the lifesaving skill of swimming you'll be opening doors to a lifetime of fun, fitness, and enjoyment. Our swimming classes for kids are tailored to the needs of each child, so that he or she can progress at a comfortable pace.  And although some children may advance more quickly or slowly, our instructors ensure that everyone receives the instruction they need. Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills: Students will learn how to feel comfortable in the water and safely enjoy it.Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills: Children will learn basic swimming skills.

Beginner to Intermediate Springboard Diving Program Discover the thrill of the springboard!  This 6-week progressive program is your child's first step into the exhilarating world of diving. Led by Coach Emily, this curriculum focuses on building fundamental technique, ensuring safety, and boosting the confidence needed to succeed on the board.Program Focus:Board Safety & Control: Mastering safety rules and proper board etiquette.  The Approach & Takeoff: Developing the crucial rhythm and timing of the hurdle, and executing the powerful takeoff necessary to gain height and controlled rotation. Body Positions & Entries: Mastering the three required body positions in the air: Straight (A), Pike (B), and Tuck (C). Skill Progression: Moving from basic jumps and front entries to controlled dives and flips, setting the foundation for more advanced skills. Class Structure:Our one-hour session is structured for optimal learning and engagement, divided into three key segments. Dryland - We start out of the water with dynamic stretching, conditioning, and specific dryland drills. This segment is crucial for developing the strength, flexibility, and muscle memory needed for controlled aerial movement.  Board Work - We then move to the springboard for focused, personalized instruction. Students apply the dryland work directly to their hurdle, and take off under the coach's supervision.  Game & Review - The session concludes with a fun, group-based game or activity in the water, followed by a quick review of the skills learned that day.

Beginner to Intermediate Springboard Diving Program Discover the thrill of the springboard!  This 6-week progressive program is your child's first step into the exhilarating world of diving. Led by Coach Emily, this curriculum focuses on building fundamental technique, ensuring safety, and boosting the confidence needed to succeed on the board.Program Focus:Board Safety & Control: Mastering safety rules and proper board etiquette.  The Approach & Takeoff: Developing the crucial rhythm and timing of the hurdle, and executing the powerful takeoff necessary to gain height and controlled rotation. Body Positions & Entries: Mastering the three required body positions in the air: Straight (A), Pike (B), and Tuck (C). Skill Progression: Moving from basic jumps and front entries to controlled dives and flips, setting the foundation for more advanced skills. Class Structure:Our one-hour session is structured for optimal learning and engagement, divided into three key segments. Dryland - We start out of the water with dynamic stretching, conditioning, and specific dryland drills. This segment is crucial for developing the strength, flexibility, and muscle memory needed for controlled aerial movement.  Board Work - We then move to the springboard for focused, personalized instruction. Students apply the dryland work directly to their hurdle, and take off under the coach's supervision.  Game & Review - The session concludes with a fun, group-based game or activity in the water, followed by a quick review of the skills learned that day.

Our swimming classes for kids are tailored to the needs of each child, so that he or she can progress at a comfortable pace.  And although some children may advance more quickly or slowly, our instructors ensure that everyone receives the instruction they need.

Beginner to Intermediate Springboard Diving Program Discover the thrill of the springboard!  This 6-week progressive program is your child's first step into the exhilarating world of diving. Led by Coach Emily, this curriculum focuses on building fundamental technique, ensuring safety, and boosting the confidence needed to succeed on the board.Program Focus:Board Safety & Control: Mastering safety rules and proper board etiquette.  The Approach & Takeoff: Developing the crucial rhythm and timing of the hurdle, and executing the powerful takeoff necessary to gain height and controlled rotation. Body Positions & Entries: Mastering the three required body positions in the air: Straight (A), Pike (B), and Tuck (C). Skill Progression: Moving from basic jumps and front entries to controlled dives and flips, setting the foundation for more advanced skills. Class Structure:Our one-hour session is structured for optimal learning and engagement, divided into three key segments. Dryland - We start out of the water with dynamic stretching, conditioning, and specific dryland drills. This segment is crucial for developing the strength, flexibility, and muscle memory needed for controlled aerial movement.  Board Work - We then move to the springboard for focused, personalized instruction. Students apply the dryland work directly to their hurdle, and take off under the coach's supervision.  Game & Review - The session concludes with a fun, group-based game or activity in the water, followed by a quick review of the skills learned that day.

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM    Basketball, Weekday Workout - Senior Basketball Workout (Ages 50+)
This open gym basketball activity is open to both men and women.  Age restrictions apply. This is "pick-up basketball" at it's best.  All participants must pre-register on line or in person at the Recreation Department.  Day-of registrations will only be accepted in person at the Recreation Main Office, they will NOT be accepted at the gymnasium.Senior Basketball Workout: 9:00a - 11:00a Ages 50 & OlderLunch Hour Basketball: 11:00a - 1:00p Ages 21 & OlderFor those who are 50 and over, the one registration fee allows you to participate in both programs.

Divisions: A & B & CCost - $400 for Team FeeRef Fee - $35 per game paid at the games each week to the referees.Games 12 GamesStarts Week before ThanksgivingEnds 1st or 2nd Week in March B League – Can only have maximum of 2 A league players Rostered on their Team. C- League – Cannot have any A league Players and only 2 B league players rostered on their team.

Born out of the love and spirit of Camp Happiness, our program was founded in conjunction with the Milford Recreation Department in 2021 by certified educators and special education teachers who are passionate about creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities.We offer a wide range of inclusive clubs and community events for kids, teens, and adults with special needs—welcoming participants into a joyful, supportive environment where they can build confidence, friendships, and unforgettable memories. From cooking and STEM to pickleball, dance, and arts and crafts, our ever-growing list of clubs offers something exciting for everyone.One of the cornerstones of our program is our Drama Club - a truly one-of-a-kind experience that brings participants together to express themselves, build teamwork, and shine on stage.
