Milford Adaptive Programs
Where inclusion meets imagination—all year long.
Milford Adaptive Programs is a unique, educator-led organization that grew from a simple but powerful idea: everyone deserves the chance to belong, explore, and shine. Born out of the love and spirit of Camp Happiness, our program was founded in conjunction with the Milford Recreation Department in 2021 by certified educators and special education teachers who are passionate about creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities.
We offer a wide range of inclusive clubs and community events for kids, teens, and adults with special needs—welcoming participants into a joyful, supportive environment where they can build confidence, friendships, and unforgettable memories. From cooking and STEM to pickleball, dance, and arts and crafts, our ever-growing list of clubs offers something exciting for everyone.
One of the cornerstones of our program is our Drama Club - a truly one-of-a-kind experience that brings participants together to express themselves, build teamwork, and shine on stage. Beloved by families and community members alike, our Drama Club productions are a highlight of the year and a powerful reminder of the creativity and talent within every individual.
In addition to our clubs, we host vibrant community events like Trunk or Treat, Family Bingo, and our signature Adaptive Semi-Formal Dance: The Sweetheart Dance—a magical evening full of joy, music, and celebration.
Whether you're a long-time friend or just discovering us, all are welcome—all ages, all abilities, Milford residents and beyond. Come see what makes our community so special.
Milford Adaptive Programs: Created with heart. Powered by inclusion. Growing through joy.

MAPs Winter Taylor Swift Book Club (Tuesday's)
Where books, bracelets, music & friendship collide! Calling ALL Swifties — whether you scream-sing every bridge or are just starting your Eras journey, this book club is for you ! This winter, we’re diving into The Taylors by Jen Calonita, a heartwarming, relatable story about four girls with the same name, one epic friendship, and a shared love of Taylor Swift. From first-day nerves to finding your voice, chasing big dreams, and navigating friendship ups and downs, this book is full of moments every Swiftie will recognize. But let’s be clear… This is NOT a quiet book club.
Each week we’ll:
- Read & discuss the book
- Make friendship bracelets (of course!)
- Listen to Taylor Swift music & sing along
- Create Taylor-inspired crafts & projects
- Talk about friendship, confidence, self-expression, and finding your voice
- Build a community where everyone belongs
This club is designed and led by a certified special education teacher and is fully inclusive. Activities and materials will be adapted so every participant feels supported, successful, and celebrated. All abilities. All personalities. All Swifties welcome. This club is about music, creativity, connection, and friendship — just like Taylor teaches us. Whether you’re a Fearless newbie or a seasoned Eras Tour expert, this space is yours.
