Milford Adaptive Programs is a unique, educator-led organization that grew from a simple but powerful idea: everyone deserves the chance to belong, explore, and shine. Born out of the love and spirit of Camp Happiness, our program was founded in conjunction with the Milford Recreation Department in 2021 by certified educators and special education teachers who are passionate about creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities.
We offer a wide range of inclusive clubs and community events for kids, teens, and adults with special needs—welcoming participants into a joyful, supportive environment where they can build confidence, friendships, and unforgettable memories. From cooking and STEM to pickleball, dance, and arts and crafts, our ever-growing list of clubs offers something exciting for everyone.
One of the cornerstones of our program is our Drama Club - a truly one-of-a-kind experience that brings participants together to express themselves, build teamwork, and shine on stage. Beloved by families and community members alike, our Drama Club productions are a highlight of the year and a powerful reminder of the creativity and talent within every individual.
In addition to our clubs, we host vibrant community events like Trunk or Treat, Family Bingo, and our signature Adaptive Semi-Formal Dance: The Sweetheart Dance—a magical evening full of joy, music, and celebration.

MAPs Holiday Arts and Crafts (Monday's)
Come spread some holiday cheer in Arts and Crafts with Miss. Laura and Miss. Amanda! Each week we will create special holiday or seasonal projects that will bring your joy to your home. We will even have some fun art and craft experiments to try. Bring your creativity and messy clothes so we can have an exciting holiday adventure while making art memories with friends!

MAPs Merry and Mindful Holiday Yoga Workshop (Monday's)
Get ready to move, breathe, and shine bright this season with Voice Colors Holiday Yoga—a festive, inclusive yoga class led by the one and only Avery! This isn’t your average yoga class—it’s a joyful, winter-wonderful space to have fun, build confidence, connect with others, and feel totally at home in your body. Designed especially for individuals with Autism and all abilities, Voice Colors Yoga uses visual supports, gentle guidance, and a calming, consistent routine so every participant feels supported and successful. Together, we’ll stretch like snowflakes, balance like reindeer, and breathe in peace and cheer as we explore yoga and mindfulness as tools for wellness, calm, and joy. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or already love it, this class is all about celebrating movement, community, and the magic of the season.

MAPs Holiday Movie Magic (Tuesday's)
Back by popular demand!! Get ready to sleigh the season with Michelle & Emily as we bring your favorite Christmas movies to life! Each week, we’ll cozy up for a festive film, enjoy themed holiday activities, and treat ourselves to something sweet and merry. From laughter to crafts to classic movie moments, this workshop is all about friendship, fun, and festive cheer. Perfect for movie lovers and holiday enthusiasts alike — come join the magic, make new memories, and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year together!

MAPs Christmas Karaoke Club (Tuesday's)
Back by popular demand — just in time for the holidays!
This crowd-favorite club is the ultimate way for your child to let loose, sing it out, and jingle bell ROCK their way through December! Led by Michelle & Emily, this upbeat four-week workshop blends music, movement, and community in a supportive, laughter-filled space. Each week, participants will sing and dance to their favorite festive hits, express themselves creatively, and celebrate the season with themed dress-up days that make every session feel like a holiday party! Beyond the music, Karaoke Club builds confidence, connection, and social skills. Participants cheer one another on, take turns in the spotlight, and work together to create a fun, judgment-free environment where everyone feels valued and included. Whether your child is channeling Mariah Carey, the Grinch, or Santa himself, this club is perfect for anyone who loves to shine on stage, make new friends, and spread joy through music.

MAPs Holiday TGIF (Friday's)
Back by popular demand - our most loved Friday night club is returning for the holidays!
Kick off the weekend with two hours of fun, friends, and festive energy (and a much-needed break for parents!). TGIF was a huge hit this fall, and we’re thrilled to bring it back for a special 3-week holiday edition led by Sara & Danielle. Each evening begins with time to relax and socialize, followed by great music that celebrates the season. The club is staffed by familiar faces your kids already know and love, along with the amazing teen volunteers from Drama Club and Camp Happiness who make every night extra special. Give your child something joyful to look forward to on Friday nights… and enjoy a little time to yourself while they make memories with friends!
