Parent & Tot Swim Class

Perfect for little ones just starting in the water.  The sooner they are started back in the water, the quicker they learn and the less likely it is that they will grow afraid of it. Participating in Parent Tot lessons can be a special bonding experience, while helping establish a healthy attitude toward the water. This program is designed for children from ages 6 months through 4 years old and will allow you and your child to take the first steps towards a lifetime of swimming proficiency, together.

That’s right….you join your child in the water! 

Lessons cover water exploration, breath control, and safety skills. Learning swim skills early on can impact your child for years to come!

Instructor Information
Michael Porter is a dedicated Learn to Swim instructor with extensive experience in teaching swimming to children of all ages, including infants and toddlers. He is a certified Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard through the American Red Cross, ensuring that safety is always a top priority in his lessons. Previously serving as an Aquatic Coordinator at a pool facility, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. His passion for water safety and his ability to connect with students make him an exceptional instructor, helping children to develop essential swimming skills and a love for the water.

Cancellation Information
  • In the event of inclement weather, the cancellation decision will be made 2 hours before the activity begins.
  • Cancellation Information will be posted on MilfordRecreation.com
  • If the program is canceled an email and/or text message will be sent to all registered participants.
  • Please be sure to update your Household Account with your current contact information and that you opt to receive cancellation information.
