Badminton League
The Milford Recreation Department is launching a Badminton League!

Badminton is one of the most popular sports in the world.  The game is played between 2 teams with rackets and a shuttlecock.

For our inaugural season, we will have a doubles coed league consisting of 12 teams.
 
Teams must bring their own rackets, and they may bring their own shuttlecocks.

Teams will be split up into 2 divisions with a season consisting of 5 weeks.  Following those 5 weeks, teams will be seeded and a 12-team single elimination tournament will be held to determine a champion.  

Matches will be held at the West Shore Recreation Center on Wednesday evenings with times at either 6pm or 7pm.

Registration will end on March 14th.

General Info
Matches will be held at the Margaret Egan Center located at 35 Matthews St.
Matches will be self-officiated
Matches will be played on Wednesday's at 6pm & 7pm
Season will run for 5 weeks, and every team will make a single elimination playoff.

Rules and Game Information
Each team will play 1 match per week (schedule will be based on number of teams).
Matches will be best out of 5 games
Games will go to 21
A point is scored on every serve
You may have up to 4 people registered on your team, only 2 can play at once.
We will follow the basic gameplay rules of the Badminton World Federation (see link down below)

Equipment Needed
You will need to bring your own racket. Shuttlecocks will be provided but you can bring your own.
