Bike Milford 2022

Bike Milford

The City of Milford Brings Back Bike Milford Month!

Milford, CT – The City of Milford is bringing back Bike Milford to celebrate the National Bike Month of May. Biking is an excellent way to see our beautiful city while having fun, improving health, and helping the environment. Various cycling events are planned throughout the month for all ages and abilities.

The city is home to over 17 miles of bikeable shoreline making it one of the most scenic areas for bicyclists. Year-round routes are marked throughout the city including the 5, 10, 20, and 40 mile courses for the Folks on Spokes charity ride supporting Bridges. Milford also has 11 miles of the 2,900-mile East Coast Greenway that runs from Maine to Florida.

Milford is the perfect city to enjoy a casual ride with the family, get some exercise, or for a quick commute. A great way to experience Milford is with our new Bike Passport that brings our community together with our local businesses. We encourage people to bike to each of the locations for their passport to be stamped. Each stamp gives one entry into an end of the month raffle!

We are also bringing world champion athlete Chris Poulos, a youth motivational speaker and professional bicycle stunt performer for a show on May 28th. Chris will inspire with his real-life stories, words of wisdom, and amazing bicycle skills. This is a show the whole family will enjoy.

Other Bike Month events include the return of the Milford Bike Rodeo lead by Milford Police Department, national ride to work day, and more. Please see below for the full schedule of events and for details on the Bike Milford Passport, Stunt Show, and how to win great prizes!
