Milford Recreation Department has collaborated with Marlene Sanchez and the Camp Happiness staff to develop programs for children and young adults with special needs. These programs have been developed to provide children with special needs a fun, supportive and caring environment where they can socialize and participate in age appropriate activities. The Leadership team at Camp Happiness have put a lot of brainstorming to secure a good environment for all the participants. This open gym basketball activity is open to both men and women.  Age restrictions apply. This is "pick-up basketball" at it's best.  All participants must pre-register on line or in person at the Recreation Department.  Day-of registrations will only be accepted in person at the Recreation Main Office, they will NOT be accepted at the gymnasium.Senior Basketball Workout: 8:30a - 11:30a Ages 50 & OlderLunch Hour Basketball: 11:30a - 1:30p Ages 21 & OlderFor those who are 50 and over, the one registration fee allows you to participate in both programs.

Come join our women's open free play Badminton at the West Shore Gym.Badminton is a sport that can be enjoyed by individuals of any age and physical ability. Playing Badminton is a great way to stimulate the brain and promote quick thinking while improving hand-eye coordination. Badminton is a low-injury risk sport that keeps one fit and flexible. Playing Badminton is a great social sport that doesn't cost a lot of money and is FUN!

The clinic will meet Monday's and Wednesday's from 4:00pm - 5:15pm at the Parsons Complex Gymnasium. Milford residents only.  Eligibility: 6 - 8th Grade. Head Instructor: Angie Felag.

We will again be offering top-notch instruction from our USPTA certified instructor, Dave Kardas, and his staff, however the classes have changed to better fit what you are looking for!!!ADULT BEGINNER TENNISLearn to play tennis with our NEW Instant Tennis format!!! You will be playing within four weeks! We will teach you the forehand, backhand, volley and serve. You will also learn how to play both singles and doubles.LOW INTERMEDIATE/INTERMEDIATE TENNISYou will participate in lots of dynamic drills, play singles and double points as well as drills and exercises that help your technique as well as injury prevention.Please see below for dates and times. The Adult Tennis Lessons will be run at Eisenhower Park Tennis Courts.

The classes are broken up in age groups and run between the hours of 4:30pm-6:45pm on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights.Little Tennis Discovery class (3-5) will introduce the forehand, backhand, and volley, lots of eye hand coordination exercises, and lots of fun gamesThe Red Rallyers class (4-6) will work on forehand, backhand and volley as well as learning to serve. Lots of fun games and learning to hit back and forth.The Orange Crush class (7-9), Green Baseliners class (10-12), and Yellow Slicers (12-16) will participate in some drills, skill development and games/game situations to further develop skills for all levels. Our swimming classes for kids are tailored to the needs of each child, so that he or she can progress at a comfortable pace.  And although some children may advance more quickly or slowly, our instructors ensure that everyone receives the instruction they need.  The program will be run by swimming instructors Lauren Ranges and Jeff Doornweerd.

The Tennis Lessons for Children will be held at Eisenhower Park and are instructed by Dave Kardas and his staff.Lessons available are for Pee Wee and Junior aged players between, 3-5, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, and 12-16 . These programs have been developed to provide children with special needs a fun, supportive and caring environment where they can socialize and participate in age appropriate activities. The Leadership team at Camp Happiness have put a lot of brainstorming to secure a good environment for all the participants. You will be playing within four weeks! We will teach you the forehand, backhand, volley and serve. The Milford Recreation Department is offering Pickleball Lessons for the 2023 season!  Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and we are pleased to offer lessons from our certified instructor, Rudy Meredith.We will be offering 3 different types of lessons.  We will be offering a beginner, advanced beginner, and intermediate lessons twice a week on Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday.  Each lesson will be 1 hour long with a max of 10 people per group.  Lessons will last 4 weeks for a total of 8 lessons per session.*You must bring your own Pickleball Paddle

Milford Recreation Department has collaborated with Marlene Sanchez and the Camp Happiness staff to develop programs for children and young adults with special needs. These programs have been developed to provide children with special needs a fun, supportive and caring environment where they can socialize and participate in age appropriate activities. The Leadership team at Camp Happiness have put a lot of brainstorming to secure a good environment for all the participants.
